Could me someone please explain for what these
spec files are. What would be the exact way to
integrate the patch from ftp://the-nelsons.org/pub
into an existing installation?
1. Use patch or gpatch respectively?
2. What would be the command exactly to patch?
3. Do I have to rebuild something?

This patch was added to spec-files just earlier this
week. So this should make it into our vermillion builds
in the near future.

I found the problem(s) with gdm and xdmcp.
I uploaded a patch to ftp://ftp.the-nelsons.org/pub.
If you don't want to rebuild SUNWgnome-display-mgr then you can download the
prebuilt package from there as well.

I had ufsrestore 17 nodes to b74.
the gdm/xdmcp doesn't work at all!

Yep, that's a known bug warned about in the release announcement that
should be fixed in b76.

I sincerely excuse me for the word desaster. I almost
did make a incomplete installation. So I will do install
b75 once more with the old installer attempting to in-
stall it properly now.
If that does not work either, I will patiently wait for
b76.
