Hi, Wayne,
Sorry for the late response, I missed your email :$. I just fixed the
bug that keyboard layout setting does not take effect after re-login,
and it would be included in snv_102. Thank you very much for your
contributions!!!

Hi, Wayne,
I'm not sure if scim-input-pad is you're looking for, I will integrate
this component to OpenSolaris. And iirc, a scim developer in Novell
(Peng Wu) planed to re-implement virtual keyboard for scim, I will talk
to him to confirm. Yes, it's possible to add colors, I will have a look.

Hi, Wayne,
Thanks for your appreciation!
IIIMF also supports using different input methods for different input
contexts. You could configure this behavior with iiim-properties, i.e.,
by disabling the "The language is applied to all applications" option in
"General" tab.

There is absolutely no chance that SCIM will be considered for the upcoming
2008.11 LiveCD. There is just not enough time to go through the necessary QA
process. Also, if an exception were made (and for something of such
significant magnitude), who is going to close the flood gate that may ens

Hi Rob,
I wish I knew what you're talking about, letting alone help you with your
problem. Really sorry.
One thing I may suggest, OpenSolaris does not come with many fonts. Perhaps
your problem is related to not having the right font?
To install additional fonts, you can download them (or co

Hi, Wayne,
Thank your for your comments and suggestions. I personally agree with
you, that scim deserved to be bounded in the liveCD :)
I think one reason that Sun did not migrate to SCIM completely, is that
scim is not that a perfect platform, though it's popular (the author,

Hi Joey:

Hi,

This project could provide more choices to customers,
and attract more developers, especially in Asian areas.
Thus help the adoption of OpenSolaris in Asia.
Very good idea!
This project will be endorsed by Internalization Community,
the leaders initially would be Fuyuki Hasegawa, Naoyu
Good idea, I was wondering whether there was any interest in bringing
back an IM switcher. I hope you'll work closely with the X and desktop
projects.
