hello, I was troubleshooting a failed drive in the array when all of a sudden
after a reboot I no longer see any array drives from format command and dmesg
and /var/adm/messages show these messages every few seconds:

If I say
bash-3.00# whereis libmilter
libmilter: /usr/lib/libmilter.so /usr/include/libmilter
but it is not creating libmilter.a which is the linker file

Try looking at the Modular Debugger Guide on docs.sun.com.
mdb can be used to examine crash dumps and a live system.
It does not allow setting break points or single stepping in the kernel.
For that, you need to use kmdb.

If the space is mapped by the kernel, you can use /dev/allkmem
so, if the kernel maps the APCI tables, they should be visible there.
(If they're not mappable, then /dev/mem should not give access).
