I just upgraded from b125 to b133 last night.
Anytime I try to do anything with pkg, I see the following errors:
RuntimeWarning: Python C API version mismatch for module rand: This Python has
API version 1013, module rand has version 1012.
It would appear to me that python-openssl is at the lat

I'm attempting to upgrade from b118 to b125, but it refuses to allow me to
upgrade SUNWipkg first. What the heck am I missing? Either I'm forgetting
what I've done in the past, or I've never had this issue before.

Never even noticed it was a wiki :) *done*, although I don't know how long
flickr will host that pic if it gets pounded.
I think that makes it MUCH more obvious. Granted, there's plenty of other work
that could be done, but I think my boss would prefer I do some real work today

Just a request/hint/whatever. Finding the actual download link on that site is

Perhaps some of you can shed some light on what I apparently am
misunderstanding.
Can a device driver be taken from linux, and be run as is (GPL'd and all) on
solaris? I was of the belief that once these are linked, you are violating the
GPL as the solaris kernel is not GPL'd, and this linking
I'd suggest someone *in-the-know* getting on that asap then. Mplayer is most
definitely NOT a replacement for VLC. If I had the skillZ I'd do it myself...
alas, my coding is rusty at best, and that's most likely out of my league.

/etc/inet/hosts file should have the hostname, followed by the IP. Change the
IP there and that is what it will use on boot.

I you could link me/send me a copy of the one you had working up to b57 that
would be fantastic. I'm running b56. Even if it doesn't work by default, it
would give me a starting point.

Is there seriously no ident for solaris anymore??? This is going to be a BIG
issue for me if there is not. Help? Someone?
Been searching for three days now, and have yet to find anything. All the
usual suspects don't compile properly with all sorts of errors.

I'm having the same issue with a DFI-Lanparty UT-SLI-DR. The only way to get
it to work is to pull the driver off of a U2 install. The nge driver will not
work from the U3 install or an snv_b53. Powering off did not work, nor
changing the BIOS settings as was recommended in another thread.
