the sxce build 74 (x86) dvd boots to grub in command-line mode - is this normal?
looking at the Tools directory, setup_install_server is binary data (solaris 10
sparc thinks it's "ms dos library") ; looking at the boot directory,
grub/menu.lst is binary data garbage

i'm looking to replace some venerable solaris systems which mainly do network
services (routing, firewall, dhcp, etc) with small servers running opensolaris.
i'm looking for something which (in order):
- can be fitted with at least 3 ethernet ports
- is cheap & easy to acquire

in general you're still going to get much better sets of working (sunplex)
cluster stuff using SPARC systems and sun-branded storage. that's simply
because that's what has been tested (again and again and again) & designed with
to ensure it works. so hitting eBay might be the Best Bet.
