Hi!
After Brandon and some other mails, I perfomed some tests to check how to
deal with this upgrade to onnv_142.
Here is what happened:
Test scenario:
A machine running snv_133 receives onnv_142 bits.
After that, snv_134 is available, causing the user to upgrade to that bits.
- Check how to dea

f) After the upgrade, poweroff the machine.
1) poweroff
g) Boot again, and be happy! I have, now, an onnv_142 OpenSolaris!!!
Thanks again for the help, and best regards,

Hi, Ken!
I didn't BFU'ed since first OpenSolaris 2008.05 appeared.
Taking a look to the README you posted, it seems that if I want to upgrade
from snv_134 to 142 I need to:
a) Create a new Boot Environment and boot into it:
1) beadm create new134
2) beadm activate new134
3) poweroff and b
If this is true, there is something we need to do URGENTLY.

Hi!
It's available to download the issue #25 of the Tuxinfo magazine, a very
popular open source technologies magazine originally from Argentina, and now
being wrote by people of all Latin America.
The download is free, and is reachable at http://www.tuxinfo.com.ar .
It has some tips about how to i
Hi!
As far as I'm concerned, if Oracle decides not to support OpenSolaris, or to
use a Red Hat like policy having Solaris as the "commercialy supported"
operating system, and OpenSolaris as the "developers" one, we will fall into
something not as bad as mentioned in several mailing lists I'm readin
Hi!
Count on me to contribute for the "Virtualization" chapter.

I was installing only one package (SunStudio12u1), and the status was
showing the total downloaded size, it was 202,x MB, and then switched to
198,x, then 201,x, then 197,x, then 204,x, then "Download error".
Thanks and best regards,

Hello!
I don't know if I'm browsing the wrong folder, but looking for some package
in the /contrib and /pending repositories, I did not find anything

The sites I'm browsing are:

Hello, Bruno!
This are my 2 cents for the music & video lovers:
# pkg set-authority -O http://ips.homeunix.com:1 ips.homeunix.com
# pkg refresh --full
# pkg install MBLgst-plugin-mp3 MBLgst-plugin-dvd MBLgst-plugin-ffmpeg
Then open GStreamer, and play your songs & movies.

Hi, Ketan!
Do you have a core file in the 10.63.25.176 server? Can you read it or type
"file core", just to know which command was executed when the core appeared?
