I booted from the LiveCD, modified the kernel Grub entry to -s and succeeded to
get to single user mode. I tried to remove the SUNWlsimega driver with "pkgrm
SUNWlsimega" but this failed.
So I modified the /etc/driver_aliases so that lsimega entries are as follows to
match the entrie

I do have panics on regular (about once per week) basis. Can anybody

In general OpenSolaris project should focus expand hardware support.
Have been using Solaris on x86 hardware since Solaris 7.
And always hardware/driver support has been real nightmare.
More supported hardware , more (potential) users.
