You had asked me to look for "/dev/usb/483.2016", my version which
does not have a file 4832016 but instead I find /dev/usb/147e2016 wi

SXDE 3, b70b, is available for download here:
http://developers.sun.com/sxde
Or, you can download a later build, b72 via Solaris Express Community
Edition. Which has the SXDE bits included if you use DVD.

This isn't really a good place to ask Solaris 10 questions not directly related
to OpenSolaris, but I'll try answer this one anyway (strictly speaking it has
nothing to do with either operating system!)
You are not supposed to mount the same filesystem on two different servers at
the same time.
Thank you.
You have used direct internet connection to Blastwave:-

I don't have it and attempted to compile tightvnc-1.3.9 source:-

Hi Waynel
if the files unzipped fine, there is no need to worry. zip also stores file
checksums. Just match the md5sum of the final iso (which would match anyway).

Thanks for all you replies.
I was looking for the quick way out to avoid rebooting in single user mode.
Killing the X server repeatedly, works. After killing it 5 times (I think),
