I don't know how should the GDB initialization commands
I'll be there all week so I'll check out the vendors that are there and
report back with what I see.

How about now (your way)? Should I make a patch?
What about defining variables like CPUTAPID, which - most probably - is
exactly the same for all LPC2xxx chips? Should that be defined in the
"lpc2xxx.cfg" file, of just left with the default value? The variables
like this are:
- RESET_CONFIG -
