Uploading an Openoffice file to the whiteboard fails with a couple of error
messages that dont seem to help very much:
Name: exitValue
Value: 1
Name: command
Value: [java, -cp, "/opt/red5/webapps/openmeetings/jod/commons-cli-1.2.jar" -cp
"/opt/red5/webapps/openmeetings/jod/commons-io-1.4.jar" -
Hi,
when writing to a shared screen from the remote side, the keyboard layout is
somehow strange:
- no German Umlaute - appears "v"
- no INS Key (nasty when sharing an application that needs it, like Freemind)
- @ --> 2
- no CTRL keys
- cursor keys and ENTER work though
I have Ubuntu on all mac
Thanks for the reply.

Well, the screen and keyboard capturing happens to be realized with a Java
(Webstart) program. No Flash involved there.
Java works fine on all machines (have quite a few

Well, I would have to change the routing to be able to access the openmeetings
server from within my network - but that's just me, so I don't mind. It works
so far - only the invitation url is wrong.

It's quite easy to find out where a Linux programm is installed. For instance -
to find out where pdf2swf is - type
$which pdf2swf
/usr/bin/pdf2swf
Image Magick is not such a good exampl
Hi,
has anone seen where we can get rid of the warning to enable recording upon
entering a room?
I want to leave recording enabled but by far would not like to record every
session. The message box is annoying - especially as it blocks the logon
process of probably not so experienced users.

Thank you. The option is "Allow Recording" When unchecked, recording will still
be possible - only the warning is gone.
Probably you might consider changing that label as it is a bit misleading.
Thank you,
Conrad
Hi,
First of all: Thank you for delivering such a great product.
For some reason I'm not able to record a session. The controls behave as
expected - but the recorded file doesn't appear in the files section. No error
message appears. The only clue I can find is this log entry:
DEBUG 01-07 10:
> Does that happen to every recording?
Yes, unfortunately it happens all the time, no matter if OpenJDK or Sun Java.
Only slight differences: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: is sometimes 6, other
times 5

Hi,
I considered changing my user profile image to something new but then
discovered having had a bad hair day :-) - so I tried to replace it with the
original image I - with the same old file name. Obviously the old image is
still on the machine - the repeated upload gets a new file name (_1.j
Hi,
at the moment I evaluate Openmeetings if it fits my use cases for
communications systems - which are somewhere between Tele-Teaching and holding
meetings with rather non technical people.
Until now we've had some drama with NAT gateways or the unwillingness to
install software at the far
Hi Xaver,
... one can never underestimate the bandwidth needed. In a multiuser- scenario
with n places it grows n*(n-1). But you mentioned having only two partners and
a remote server (outside your LAN). If both sides are on the same LAN and the
server outside - you need twice the bandwidth ..
possibilities.
it does and as promised, version 2. will be even better.
Thank you for providing such a cool system. Great work!
Greetings

OK - that could be a way - even if I'd need to VNC to another machine to show
It works for me on an Ubuntu 10.11. I had to install the Sun/Oracle JRE which
is nuts. Some bandwidth issues remain - there is no way to adapt quality vs.
bandwidth by e.g. increasing compression. The consequence is long audio delay
which is hard to detect from my side unless the conversation ge

Depending on how many participants you want to host. I have mostly two, maximum
three participants and Openmeetings works fine on a rented VServer with 2GB RAM
