Thanks Sebastian! If I set this timeout to i.e. 2 seconds, wouldn't that solve the problem too? In my interpretation this would cause Flash to wait two Seconds after the "silence", before cancelling the the transmission? See: silenceTimeout

But I think it is already set to 0 by default, so it is already as sensible as possible. I don't think that there is any smaller / more sensible setting. You can compare the attributes generally available for the Microphone here: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/FlashPlatform/reference/actionscript/3/f

Dear mailinglist, we are using openmeetings for our voice conferences with five or more participants. The system is automatically stopping the transmission of audio signals (e.g. auto noise cancelling ), if one is not speaking. So after every short pause, the transmission is abruptly terminate
