It still looks like your red5-start script does not use SUN-JRE-6
maybe you have multiple JRE's on your machine and red5 just uses the wrong
one.
You should set JAVA_HOME to point to a SUN-JRE-6 (or to the /bin

Guys, I'm going crazy over here, no matter what I do, I simply CAN'T connect on
OpenMeetings via AD, it always complains about "Invalid Password".
Wonder if someone can help me out, here's my config (yes, the username/password
works on other programs):
ldap_server_type=AD
ldap_conn_url=:389

Hi Linas,
I am not sure just a guess (Sebastian could know better) but can you
be "root" and try your start script again? (If you are already root,
ignore about my guess).

I use starting script, that comes with Openmeetings. I just "bash red5.sh"
from the directory i extracted.
The exit output says errors like this:
[ERROR] [main] org.apache.mina.core.service.SimpleIoProcessorPool - Failed
to create a new instance of
org.apache.mina.transport.socket.nio.NioProcessor
you might simply have an error in your shell script that starts red5, you
shoudl have a look at the exit message more closely to get an idea what it
might be

Hi Moloney,
I do not know if it is also the case, but I was not getting ffmpeg to work
in OM 1.9 and Ubuntu / Debian. It was enough to follow these steps:

The params in the SOAP API call
http://incubator.apache.org/openmeetings/UserService.html#setUserObjectMainLandingZone
are not optional, you have to set an externalUserId and type parameter not
just the SID.

The Juniper uses the same data from ADS...
Its just a additional authentification for security...
The idea is, the server is in the DMZ and ports are open. The login
page can be only processed reached via the Juniper from the internal
network.
In juniper i do th
For example with this SOAP/REST call you can login directly to the

will the user use for its session after the login then ?
You should build your own doorway page using the SOAP/REST API instead of
changing the source code to send the credentials elsewhere.
By doing that you will not need t
I like to use the openmeetings with our Juniper SA for auth.
Can someone give me a hint, how i can call the login directly from the
login window ? i just need to pass the vars "user, password, domain"
over the url and send them in the login window. I figured out to call
the parent.login();
There is no difference in the quality of the screensharing and the
recording. Resolution is the same.

Hi Sebastian
I am using 1.9.1 The downloaded recordings is the same quality as watching
directly from the web interface.
When viewing a scree sharing that appears to be at a higher quality tough.
Any ideas on the sound issue ?
I would love to try a new version of ffmpeg but I can't get it to wor
What version of OpenMeetings are you using?
The recording has 1:1 the same quality as the original recorded files.
You might download the .avi and check yourself.

Restored the old snapshot and made the chnage you recommended and its recording
now, thank you.
I have another question about this. It records ok but when there is silence it
produces a sound that sounds like the start of the word I have previously
spoken.
Also is there any way to
