hello all,
i have a fresh dell R320 with Perc H310 (mini type). I tried with
raid-mode and non-raid mode, but OI doesn't find any disks.
Searching on the Net, i found that somebody flashed the card firmware
for the PCI type, but it's not a solution for me.
Has anyone succeeded ?
thanks in adv
It won't work. I have the perc h710 and they also fail under OI.
I installed FreeNas on my DELL's , strange thing is that installation of
FreeNas only takes 60 seconds and you're up and running.
OI is no friend of DELL and FreeNas works like a charm.

Wow, this is certainly not the voodoo type suggestions I was hoping for, but
maybe it'll point me in the right direction.
It's not a multi-domain or multi-controller environment. Single domain on a
single domain controller. Time is not out of sync (drift <0.01sec). My domain
controller does n

My R810 and R815 with their Broadcom NICs work great with the bnx driver
from SmartOS. [1]
I have no idea where they got it, or how redistributable it is. But. The
NICs work great, and the BMC works great with that driver (unlike without
it).

FWIW AD binds do work - I'm currently running a number of OI systems bound
to an AD without any special magic.
Then again, I'm also running DNS services with a delegation for the AD
subdomain, so that differs from your setup...

Since you aren't using your AD system for DNS; you may be missing some entries
specific to an AD environment.
It may be easiest to enable dns there; but only use it on your storage server.
(maybe also firewall it off so nobody else tries to use it...)
These are the records I have in my workaro

Not sure if this is related to your issue, and I haven't tried oi151a7
on a Live DVD.
But I did a few installations via Live DVDs of earlier versions, and
managed to fail booting once. It is resolved when I burn the same
content on a 2nd DVD and try again.

USB3 switched off in Bios, Video ok. The error occurs somehow
in the grub decompressor, not in the kernel, which is not yet
started at that point.
