of specific bugs that had cropped up. There might very well be one that

I have a serious hard-disk drive blocking issue ... but I believe I'm
pretty much on my own.
If you don't want to run it on a Dell Latitude E5500 it'll probably
work fine, check the BUGS on illumos ( https://www.illumos.org/issues
) out. :)

It should, but even if it doesn't you can force it to do so, with
--require-new-be as an argument to pkg image-update. (The upgrade docs
also recommend setting a be name using --be-name,

Can you explain what is/was "stuttering in thunderbird"??
Thank you,

It froze repeatedly but I was never sure what was triggering it. It
would eventually recover (most of the time) after 30 seconds or so.
Frequently it would happen while simply writing an email and sometimes
while looking for a file to attach. Moving the cursor with the mouse

I've taken a few whacks at this in the past without much luck -- but am
willing to try again. I'll have to look through the private emails I
exchanged with someone after he contacted me ... I was asking about it on
the Apache lists back at the end of June. Here's where I got stuck building
