Yes. There are two developers (one from Oracle) I've noted working on building
LibreOffice 3.3.2.2 and one guy supplied patches. He hit a roadblock though
last I checked which he resolved with the latest stable version (and his
patches). I think there actually was a pending issue though he was t
Hi can someone recommend a compatible SATA port multiplier?
I've got a 4 port SATA PCI (yes plain old 32 bit PCI) RAID controller in
JBOD mode for the shared data, and two on board SATA connectors for the
rpool. I'd like to add a small SSD to speed up some of my pools a bit,
but have no ports lef

Hmm, too bad. I don't see

You might also see if your motherboard has an internal USB port and use a
small, fast flash drive instead. J

Hi all
I have a few servers running openindiana 148, and it's been running rather well
for some time. Lately, however, we've seen some hichups that may be related to
the platform, rather than the hardware. The actual errors have been variable.
Some issues were due to some supermicro backplanes
I'm having trouble figuring out how to hotswap dead drives on a potential
fileserver I am building. I'm using an LSI Internal SATA/SAS 9211-8i &
9211-4i to connect 12 SATA drives on a Supermicro backplane that supports
SES-2. I am finding conflicting information as to whether OpenIndiana can

This gives me some pause as I'm in the process of replacing Nexenta boxes that
also had flakey reliability. Is anyone using 148 in an enterprise situation
with Supermicro?

OCZ has end-of-lifed theirs but you can still find them. Intel and
RiDATA still make them, however, and some searching turned up a few
vendors I haven't h

Not sure what means "enterprise" in this case, but if you asking
