Also, I want to get some basic things in place before I approach the all

I'm resumed work on Belenix. My focus is to get the Continuous Integration
right. I've decided to talk about it only after I have something ready.
FYI, I'm using OmniOS on a KVM right now to get lots of proof of concept
right before I invest on hardware.

Gabriele,
A company-sponsored illumos desktop distribution is very welcome.
Here are a few suggestions:
1. A graphical installer will make it a hit for new users. Users expect
one on a modern desktop distribution. If you don't have a gui installer
yet, check out PC-BSD's graphical installer.
Suggestions
* Integrators management panel with password protect
* VLC integrated as default you tube player
* More multimedia drivers especially for webconferencing
* Conky information scripts
* cairo dock
* reduced start up time by compressing language defaults
* Better icons for visual
