Johnathan,
There is v2.4.4 which we used. I can suggest v2.1 and v2.4.4 at the moment
due to our recent testing.

Kirill,
Only use the v2.1 driver - the v2.2 driver didn't pass testing.

Jon,
I have tried 2.1.0, 2.2.0, 2.3.0 and 2.4.4 from HP FTP Server, all of them
work!
It really looks like the particular driver which comes with OI is broken,
with the 5i array at least. If I remember correctly it is being reported
as 2.2.1

but there appears to be a version 2.4 in

do you know if any of these work any better?

Hi Everyone!
Here is the panic stack as taken from the serial console:

Attention, I stand corrected!
disable-cpqary3=true DOES work indeed, seems as if I mistyped it several
times...
Thanks for help!

Hi Albert,
I have tried both suggestions, the -vk does not reboot the machine on
panic and drops into debugger but the actual panic scrolls over the
screen, is there a way to scroll back in the screen buffer like with BSD
(Scroll Lock)?
The '-B disable-cpqary3=true' appended to Kernel does not he

You have to setup the CPQary39120 driver beforehand. It'll fix your problem.

Hi,
I am trying to install OI build 148 on our DL585 G1 systems.
They all have SmartArray 5i controller and, unfortunately, that controller
causes kernel panic with the installer / life CD.
Basically once you select the boot mode in the loader screen, the kernel
