I've run OI ever since Solaris 10XU8 proved to be too open to crackers
and my system was doing bitcoin mining (or something) not on my behalf,
and later versions of Solaris had different licensing making updating a
problem. Updating to OI seems to have closed those vulnerabilities
while retaining
