I was testing the DVD mates again and decided to install it but could
not get the partition manager to work. this is in addition to add to
panel omission of the volume appelet.
look forward to using this in the future.

Some time ago I had an attempt to build illumos with clang.
The main problem is inline assembly, where clang produces a bit different code.
