I'm new to OpenIndiana. I installed OpenIndiana. But still I can't figure
out how to connect to internet using USB Dongle. Can somebody tell me how
to do so?

that bootstrapping part

Ok. I was stupid (again).
It wasn't a networking issue, as I was able to login as root once I changed
PermitRootLogin to yes. So I started looking at other things, and discovered
that when I created the user, I did not specify the login shell. Therefore, it
was set as /bin/false instead of /
