My system is still reporting version 28. I am not going to reboot though I do
need to reset beam so it won't reboot the upgraded environment if there is an
extended power failure... Just in case the reboot causes the pool to upgrade to
5000.

I just realised I need to do one piece of link aggregation, so nwam is
out, regardless.
So I do it w/o nwam, now. And that turns out to be much less confusing.
I think webmin will be simple enough for the other guys to check and
repair stuff.

Easy automatic config and static ip. However, if you are doing ipmp or link
