I use a more or less typical git workflow:
branch: develop - fairly buildable development branch where all
development starts. This includes feature changes and updates to latest
version of Odoo.
branch: master - production ready code for latest production version of
Odoo. The develop branch is p

Hi Alexandre,
I didn't know about python -S. Thanks for sharing that.
About the aeroo reports packages: I just keep a copy of the LibreOffice
installation debs from somewhere like

Hi Eric,
This is actually a pretty useful feature to have, and its usefulness
becomes evident in shared hosting environments and in the face of
hostile administrators.
Usually there are two types of answers given to this type of question:
1. Use some sort of shared secret (like a password that is
Great! Happy to see this.

My pleasure :-)

Simply replacing timezone data does not work. You have to *convert* from
one timezone to another. But, because openerp doesn't attach timezone
to the time in the database there is an initial step required to add utc
timezone data. The general steps are:
1. Convert date/time from db into a naive da
Hi Gergely,
Just as a data point let me tell you why I've chosen to use OpenERP.
First, I don't have the resources to start and maintain an ERP project
on my own. It's easy to write a custom HR application or a custom stock
application or a custom purchase management application as a one-off

Ok. I hadn't thought of that.
My main point was that it should be searchable. Otherwise, it's broken.
Which way is the recommended way?
1. store=False and use fnct_search
or
2. store={...} (and have the value in the db updated when the related
field changes).
I'm just wondering for my own fut
Hi there,
I believe that for related and function fields unless you store the value in
the database you cannot search or filter on it. So, in this case instead of
just setting store=False it might be better to use store={...}
See here for an example:

Hmmm, now I'm seeing the same thing you're seeing. But, it was
definitely working for me when I tried it about 2 to 3 days ago.

What browser are you using?
I normally use Chrome, but when browsing the forums I have to use
Firefox because the login/registration system doesn't seem to like Chrome.

Hi Folks,
The current POS, while good, wasn't really usable for me because I don't
have access to a touch-screen or a bar-code reader (both of them are
really expensive here). Trying to enter a sale with the mouse can be
very time consuming, especially when you have 600+ products to choose
from.
