OK, did that. No errors.
This all was in the office on the HP 4050N. Now here at home I have a Kyocera
laser printer where all documents print fine from okular...

We tried pdftops with the file, and then opening it with gs. Gs crashed,
complaining of missing fonts. We retried with a ps generated from another
system that didn't have this program.
