Another point I noticed: when using the Selection tool and selecting an
accented character, the context menu offers to copy two characters.

To connect this with bug #274933:
if the text contains "aé éa" then searching for "ae" matches the first word
(and highlights the "a" and only one half of the "é" character as in the
screenshot).

Well invert only black and white means exactly what it says. If you invert all
colors, the pictures look like airport scanner images. When you only invert
black and white the other colors stay the same.

Just to try some things, I opened the file in Chrome (and Brave), Firefox
and MS Edge browsers. None of these displayed the artifact shown by
Okular. I have no other PDF viewers I can test agains

Hi, I stored the PDF from this bug and opened it with the current Okular
version from the store. I get there no such artifacts, looks more or less like
in the internal preview of e.g. Microsoft Edge.
