Hi,
I like very much how Okular exports pdf to txt keeping the correct spacing
(doing the same with acrobat on windows gave no such clean results).
Given that I cannot invoke okular from the command line to make a pdf to txt
conversion (or so I seem to understand) which library okular uses to do
actually I'm using Acroread (and I hate it) only because of the "send via
email" function.
I would like to know if it is possible to have such a feature in near
future, or if it will likely not implemented, or only in a couple of
years... ??
Many thx
seb

Hi,
yes I tried before pdftotext but the results of Okular are much better for my
needs (parsing of pdf documents).
I need to parse "csv" or "fixed length" like documents that are unfortunately
in pdf format, if anyone has any suggestion on how to parse them without
translating them to text...

You have not read it properly then, i'll summarize it:
* Implementing it is 5
I agree that okular should not send directly an email, but as written in
the report, to pass the file to the email client is a basic function
When opening a pdf in the web-browser with okular, if you don't have such a
feature, you have to save it first, then open the filebrowser, or
filepicker...
