Nope, the bug is correct, the fact that the core though the mime derived from
contents was different from the one derived from extension made it try to open
it again

Well, you just reported a similar problem to kate as far as i know, and Okular
does some extensive usage of pixmaps which other applications don't so it's
easier for it to find problems
