In case it is not clear, the problem is in the slight darker outline that can
be seen at the end of the blurred region. It should be easy to spot the problem
if you open the test pdf in okular first and then with

I can reproduce your issue with okular from kde 4.12 beta 2. After downgrading
to okular 17.3, the offending behavior is not reproducible anymore. I.e., in
17.3 the rc setting is always respected. You should try to
