There is a way to use MuPDF as backend in Okular, [1] and it can render the
pages in the test document (Intel's System Programming Guide) very quickly.

Just tested the drawing on the slides in Zoom (5.4.9, Plasma 20.12, Mageia 8)
with Zoom's "Annotate" feature in Okular's full-screen mode. It works as
expected (Huion H430P tablet).
