I forget that reporting a bug about okular is always prone to open up trolls.
The bug, as reported, is clearly unindented behaviour, the example given of why
it might be wanted is not so

Concerning your experience with Acroread: The Linux version of Acroread does
not play any videos in pdfs at all. That is why okular video support is so
important to some people.
