Found a Monk Parakeet nest with atleast 3 birds in the vicinity. As far as I
know this is the only nest away from the ones in Larchmont/New Rochelle area in
Westchester. The location is near the intersection of Sumner and Onandaga Aves.

Another very good location for them, North Woodmere Park in North Woodmere

besides myself. There is a great place to view them: Seamen's Neck Park in
Seaford, NY (Nassau County). There is a ball field with light platforms,
and each platform has a big communal roost made of sticks. They have a

There have been a few reports from that area in 2014, but it would be great

in the Bronx this year, and I don't think any are recent.

stronghold directly across the Hudson...

Church Street)?in New Rochelle today. A pair of Ospreys are building a nest on
top of one of the light poles with parakeet nests. In the estuary?across the
street was a Greater Yellowlegs and a Great Egret.
