everyone thought the hyphen was responsable but at the end it was
the length of file names (multiple of 9 broke) which naturally

Yes, the maintainer of microtype has been informed about th
e to the missing space glyph. With pdflatex I would
try to use \pdfinterwordspaceon but this primitive never found its
way into luatex. Is there any solution? (One that could be
translated to lualatex would be best).

you still *can* use special fontencodings to mimic transliteration,

I seem to be not able to get a synctex.gz instead of a synctex file.
