If there is TDMA amonf clusters then there should be "no contest" and hence
no contention among clusters. Can you please specify what would you like to
do..??

If nam doesn't run that means "perhaps" the format is not supported as nam
is not perfect! I have no check at this time though. check out "trace" file
for what you want to observe (I think it's graphs which should interest you
more than running pkts).

though not familiar with this paper's detail or code it seems to me a
configuration problem. check out path etc. and also source code (whether
written for earlier or later versions). did you need to install their piece
of code, if yes, then using it directly on an ns already on ur system might

using "random" utilities in ns2, try to alternate traffic at different
times. also plz let me know what do you mean by term "cross-traffic"??
thanks

try some utilities avaliable on "Eitan Altman" ns2 home page. obviously you
might need to change depending upon traffic type. here is a link:

this kind of error should normally means that your .cc file for RCP is not
known to system either because ns was not compiled with success or the path
is not known OR worse if you are using a code developed by someone else then
changes might have to be made (could you elaborate more)..

Hi,
I think A node movement file should do. Take a look in ns2~/tcl/mobility.

look into .tr file and perhaps there is no call to nam or no nam file at all

Does anyone has any idea if EDF module for ns2 had been contibuted..??

For as if now wired-cumwireless aspect is under consideration (And I should
take a look on Francesco's script !!!); so NO wired-cum-wireless with
Mathieu's work as if now.
May be soon.

Hi,
I have tried to find (desperately !!) an example that explains how to use
CBQ in ns2 but couldn't find it. Do you know some link or any existing
example work that I could use to understand it.

depending upon the events in your simulation you can take "decision" to
change CBR traffic. (In my opinion changing C++ code for a simulation event
presents "hevay" work).

also take care of the node / link on which you want to observe the drop.
good luck

It depends what performance parameters you ld like to look at. So first
check that. Once done, approach packet by packet, read notes Eitan Altman's
notes on ns2 on how to use trace files. (how to extract useful
interepretation).
2. how do i make
queue is just before the source ;-) so check it out. well seriously it
depends upon performance you want to evaluate. so plz take a look at your
parameters.

plz look at ns2 tutorial by Eitan Altman.

try to see if you have memory limits on your system.

just look at (either last or second last) parameter in the trace file and
you know the number of packets arrived at the destination. Dont forget to
check that it's "+r" on destination side.

if you want to look for "efficiency" of link then :
(actual data received on the link / link_bw)
I have never heard of parameter called "number of traffic" unless you want
to check the "efficiency" of one particular flow then "perhaps" it makes
"some" sense but I have my doubts.
good luck
