So far as I can tell, every version since 2000 goes into some kind of loop
when downloading and rendering pages. Though a page may appear to have
been completely rendered the 'eggtimer' continues to scroll and obstructs
other activities like quitting NetSurf.

Umm, that's a thought, but likewise, how do you know which one other than
by deleting and replacing successively.
However, I have just updated NetSurf on my A7000+, which I haven't used
for a while, and NetSurf #2464 doesn't scan fonts there when loaded.
#2466 installed on my VRPC still scans fonts, just now.

Double clicking on an HTML icon now only loads NetSurf. A further double
click is now needed to load the HTML file. Previously, a single double
click on the file icon was all that was needed to load the file into
NerSurf.

I've got two newsletters here. One from PermaJet and another from Wisdom
Books, both through Pluto.
The PermaJet newsletter loads into NetSurf OK via the HTML file attachment.
But, surprise, surprise, the HTML file attachment in the Wisdom Books
newsletter belongs to the PermaJet newsletter and l
depending on what I am doing.
Wouldn't be without NetSurf now.

I was interested to compare the rendering under NetSurf and FireFox. Pity
the video doesn't display under RISC OS. That isn't a complaint by the
