do a "make
clean" first (it will cause all modules to be recompiled) - it seems that
some make dependancies are not quite working. Then do a "make" followed by
your usual installation procedure.
After I applied the changes above, things seem go along smoothly.
Good luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

So when it comes to support or a knowledgable technical community - Netatalk
may be far in advance of what MS Win2k can offer.

Hope this clears some confusion.
If there are any errors in the above items, please email directly, I will
summarise to the list.

Try Apple's Developer web site.
Apple recently released the Apple Filing Protocol (AFP) 3.0, 90 pages in
length. I assume you may be able to obtain earlier versions of the protocol.
Usually the documents are in PDF (Acrobat) format.
Hope this helps.

. It makes it very hard to diagnose problems with configurations.
Any constructive suggestions would be appreciated.
Is there any way of disabling the self modifying atalkd.conf in netatalk?

Andy,
Did the problem go away after you applied the patches by Andras Kadinger to
enable binary printing through papd?

.
Also one has to be carefull if you are using Ghostscript as the PostScript
intepreter. Ghostscript has to be built using special libraries to handle
Adobe's custom handling of JPEG images in a PostScript file. More
information can be found in the Ghostscript build instructions.
This may or may not be the problem.

alk is a very reliable server. I constantly use server volumes with
more than 10,000 (ten thousand) files without problems. The netatalk
version in use is: netatalk-1.4b2+asun2.1.4-39_test on NetBSD/i386 1.4.1.

ons?
The version you are using may not have a full implementation of the AFP
specification, read the docs - I usually compile source rather that use
RPMs so that I have all of the docs that come with the releases.
Try an upgrade of your Netatalk server and let the list know of your
results.
