next few years of growth.
As mentioned in other comments, these boxes are very affordable, as significant
discounts from list are the norm.

Since around 1:45PM PST today we've been receiving a constant 10Gbps of
flooding from the SV8 peering fabric. Traffic is not in the VLAN 6 peering
VLAN so I haven't peeked at it. Anyone else seeing this at that exchange?

I'm using these as edge routers facing multiple peering networks and several
full table feeds. No problems so far, very cost effective platform in my mind.
Here is what it looks like with about 100 peers

Ryan,
Curious if you have any thoughts on the longevity of the 7500R and
7280R survival's with IPv4 full tables? How full are you seeing the TCAM
getting today (I'm assuming they are doing some form of selective download)?
And if we are currently adding 100k/routes a year, how much longe
Anyone played with the newish Juniper PTX1000 platform? Seems quite
interesting for compact deployments, but I've not been able to find much
pricing information to see just how interesting..

You haven't indicated what the actual inbound attack volume is. If it's
something your network core can handle, you can block the attack fingerprint
upstream so it does not reach the 1Gb link. If it's UDP amplification
chances are you can create a firewall rule.
