Personally I gave up on Verisign back between '96-'98 when I
tried to get my contact info off domains I no longer had anything to do
with... To this day (over 4 years) I believe some of these domains still
have my contact info on them...

Just be sure you read the full advisory and look deep into it
and your own configuration. Recent news has come to light which appears
that it is most *BSD OS flavors and those using BSD_AUTH and SKEY. Most
often these are not enabled by default on non-BSD OSes.

Welcome to the world of being a CUSTOMER of SBC... It doesn't
get any better if you're paying them for service... I would have to say
SBC is at the top of the list for poor security response and is one of
the few companies I deal with that you can't actually reach anything

Just had a co-worker pass this one one to me and thought some
might find the humor in it as well...

I only find it humorous that a majority of the network probes against my
network come from RoadRunner cable modems as it is, yet they want to add to it
by having their own server run a probe... Not that I email many RR customers as
it is directly through my mail servers... I also enjoy the
I've been noting considerable problems traversing through

Even as an SBC customer that's about all I get from their abuse

At work we implimented 12.2(T) on our IPv6 routers and there were some
problems, can't recall specifics now, that meant we did do several IOS
upgrades to try and fix. Now we have just finished upgrading to 12.3 on
all our routers network-wide and only have the IPv6 functions turned on

vast majority of the sites I've had to enter an email address will not

that I can use the format as it helps with filtering of email and is

The decision regarding site-local was made during the San
Francisco IETF meeting and then later confirmed on the mailing lists
although there has been quite some debate over it all since then
cally addressed broadband connections this might be a wise
idea, but for those that are paying for static IPs or even static

include most cable modem and a fair amount of DSL customers.

I'd have to chime in and say I'm already paying almost $100 for
my aDSL connection for my home. I'm paying for a static IP allocation
which has been SWIP'd with ARIN and have forward and reverse DNS
pointing to my domain. However I deal with on a regular basis ISPs which

Bill,
Good luck finding one as I, as a SBC customer, have trouble
reaching someone as well. I actually had RoadRunner blocking my network
as they claimed it was dynamic dial-up IP space, I still don't know if
SBC ever got with RR to confirm it was not even though my email went to
both RR a
