Hi,
I used Jarod's doc to set up:
- Myth 0.17 from rpm
- lirc from rpm with New Hauppauge grey/black lircd.conf from Jarod's howto
- FC3 upgraded kernel to 2.6.10-1.770_FC3 with apt
- pvr-150 using ivtv 0.3.2m compiled from source
using this setup, I load the lirc_i2c module, start lircd, start
ardware is being addressed correctly, and if
the module is loading right.
Does everything look right in the logs that I posted?
Thanks.

I just put in my order for an Athlon64 3500+ Abit AV8 mobo w/ 1G pc3200.
The box is going to be a HD frontend/backend with 2 Air2pc cards, and
maybe firewire from Comcast.
In an effort to stay on budget, the rest of the hardware will come

Couple noob questions because I'm curious:
With glxgears at the default size, I am getting 1130 fps on a fx5200
using driver 7174 on a P4 3.2Ghz with smp kernel.
Should I be happy with that number? My Radeon 9550 was getting 360 at

Thanks for the feedback. I guess I'll try to fine tune some and see
if I can get better numbers then. Are you guys using agpgart? module
or built in?
Got to do some reading on mode lines first though. I was very

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if Comcast had some of those freqs

Dual firewire from Comcast 6200 works great for me. I would try 3

Comcast will not authorize receivers they didn't provide you. You
have to get it from them. You want the Motorola DCT 6200. The person
who takes your order won't know what firewire is, and probably can't
guarantee they will deliver a box with it, but whatever they bring
you, you can take it back
I have been using Comcast DCT-6200 w/ firewire since April sometime.
I got all channels including premium, no problems.
Starting today, I am only able to capture analog channels, and
occasionally local HD. I had Monday Night Football set to record, and
that failed.
I am wondering if they have t
I talked to on CSR at Comcast, who said yes they do support Firewire,
and it should be working. After I explained the problem she said we

She told me to call Motorola... So, I jumped through the hoop and

Correct, none of the digital channels work, including the locals. The
locals is an obvious problem, but I think even some or most of the
digital chanels should be open too. I think what we really need is
full disclosure of what will be protected, and what won't. My best

This doesn't seem to be a channel specific thing,
I think I see a pattern.
In one of the files that does not play, the first TS sync byte (47) is

Ok, so I don't know if other are having the same problem I am, but I
suspect it has something to do with the way myth changes channels and

If someone wants to rewrite this in C and submit a patch, feel free.
This isn't intended to fix the problem, only a workaround for already

for what its worth, I am using 2 firewire "encoders" with a local 7

I have been having this problem for several months. Thinking back, I
