linking tables

Hello i am kinda new to this list, and to mysql... I am trying to link 2 tables, but there seems to be an catch i havent for seen... i made this table first like this: create table kunder(KundeID int NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY auto_increment, Fornavn varchar(25) NOT NULL, Etternavn varchar(25) NOT NU

hope its okey for me too ask you an question regarding linking of tables... i have been building the tables that are in the manual http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/example-Foreign_keys.html Still i cant understand why i can add and new shirt for an person that isnt there, i am using the mysql 3.23.49
