You said that you changed the password to the password you wanted, but in
all the examples you are trying to access the server without a password.
Try using the -p flag so it prompts you for your password, then type in
whatever you set

and changed 'new-password' to the password I wanted.
Got the -->
on the next line but nothing else so

Which file name do I type into the DOS box command line to start it.
I have not yet installed any of the GUI's I heard about because until I
overcame the MyODBC problem I wasn't sure I would get it installed.
Can I assume one of the GUI's will start
