linux 7.3.
The problem is after unzipping the tar.gz file and
running the mysql_install_db (which runs perfectly),
when i tried to run the safe_mysql &, the mysqld is
ended immediately.

Linux. First, I do have runned the "mysql_install_db" script. When I tried to up the
