We are running a program which uses the 'mysql_insert_id' function to get
the id of an AUTO_INSERT key field. This used to work fine with MySQL V3.22,
but now we've upgraded to V3.23.32 it doesn't seem to be working. The
function simply returns the same value the whole time the program is

We have just installed MySQL V3.23.32 from source on our Compaq Alpha-Server
DS20E (after some problems), however, we get the following message when we
try to run it.

We are currently trying to compile MySQL V3.23.32 under Tru64 V5.0a running
on a Compaq Alphaserver DS20E. The error messages are as follows:
