is there any chance to get mutt working on MS-DOS or Windows 3.1?
This would be for my mother. She's currently using MS-Mail...

Thanks for advice to both of you. I'll try to install Pegasus Mail next
time I visit my mom. She basically needs something that works more
reliably than the other programme.

Hi,
why don't you try mailstat, which comes with procmail (I think)?
I have in my .login a following line
mailstat $HOME/.procmail/log
where the argument is the LOGFILE variable defined in .procmailrc.

how can I save mails sent by myself to folders without the
attachment(s)?
Is there a way to see the number of remaining/unread messages in the
current thread when in the pager, i.e., without going to index?
