c) "All mail" in gmail is a big problem in terms of speed and memory
usage. Anyone have a tip for dealing with mailboxes containing ten of
thousands of messages. Until now, I just dont open the "All Mail"
folder :)

Why dont you use gmails built in filtering? Thats what I'm using.

Hi Guys,
What do you think of a progress indication when you close a large
mailbox. I use mutt with gmail and frequently when I close a mailing
list folder it takes a while. User feedback would be nice :)
