Changing Editor

I've been using GNU Emacs for some time now as an editor for mutt. In fact it's been so long I can't remember how to set mutt to use different text editor. #1. Is it possible to use an application like Writeroom or even TextEdit? #2. If so, how would one go about doing this? I've tried changin
