Hi,
I want to do the command:
abook --add-email
On every mail I send, so that I can add emails of persons I am writing too to
my addressbook.
send-hook comes at the wrong place, how can this be done?
Thanks!

Hi,
Thansk, that makes a lot of sense.
Unfortantly, it does not yet work completly. I want the script to scan the
eMail for default values, but afterwards ask the user to confirm or correct
these default values.
So the script needs to get the eMail from stdin, but also be intaractive with

Hi,
I am using ldap for addressbook, quering it with lbdb.
For adding new entries, Matt Richards send me a nice scrip (add2ldap), which
takes the name and eMail as paramters, or ask for them on the command line.
I invoke the script this way:
macro index,pager a '~/add2ldap'

I'm using abook in mutt via query_command. Wishing to address a new message
to dick and jane, neither of whose email addresses I remember, I first query
for dick using Q, then append to that a query for jane using A. Now both

ve a look at the query feature of mutt (chapter "4.5. External
Address Queries" in the mutt manual). You should try something like
set query_command="abook --mutt-query '%s'"
Then you can use Ctrl-q (like TAB) to expand a query string to the

All you need to use it is your favorite unix tools, and Perl to run

this was a function of the editor, but in actuality, an extension of the
