I am using fetchmail -> exim -> procmail and no .forward file is needed with exim. If it can't put a lock in Mail try changing the Mail perms to drwxr-sr-x. And procmail won't accept mail subdirs that you've created. You make Mail dir but don't make the subdirs under it. That might help. --

It looks at the .forward first, and that is why. You don't need a .forward file, I would think, if you are using fetchmail in conjunction with Procmail. Here is my .fetchmailrc for Qmail set postmaster "" set no bouncemail set properties "" #set daemon 60 set logfile /home/username/Procmail/fm.l
