I don't know what the error means, but I want to make sure you can use
another mailer. If you use PINE or kmail or netscape messenger, do those
work?

You don't. :)
POP is for fetching mail. (Post Office Protocol).
Usually mutt just sends mail using your local sendmail. You proba

can't find most of the keys that are on my GPG public key ring. It finds
