I am running fedora 8 and my home directory is nfs mounted. When I execute:
echo 'test email using mutt'|mutt -s 'test email using mutt'
it hangs up for a while (can't interrupt it with cntl-c or background
it with cntl-z and bg) and then produces this error message:
fcntl: No locks availabl

I am using the next-unread-mailbox function to read my mail collection.
For this, in my ~/.muttrc, I have defined 'c' macro like this:
folder-hook . 'bind index,pager c next-unread-mailbox'
This works well, but when there are no more mailboxes with unread mails,
it just stay in the curr

You could also consider using mutt with offlineimap. "set
mark_old=yes" works for me using offlineimap.
