Is that Mandrake 7.2 by the way? Their sendmail RPM had a bug in it which
made sendmail owned by bin:bin

No.
Actually, what you are describing heavily sounds like you should
rather use your MTA's queue for the job.

Hi all,
The mapping of 'd' for 'delete message' seems to have been lost in
pager mode. Now, I have to hit 'Alt-d' to mark the current message for
deletion when in pager mode. In index mode thare is no problem.
I have not bound [dD] or alt combos of either to any function in my
muttrc.

Yup, it was missing a quote, and I thought I tried that since
my other folder-hook entries have one at the beginning of the
set section. Anyway, it's working nicely now.
Thanks to all for your help!

TWIMC,
when I send messages from within mutt, the backspace keymapping is lost. I am using
the vim editor. Is there an addition to the .muttrc to correct this? or is it a vim
problem?
thanx in advance for the help

Hello,
I'm stuck on a basic problem, I can use mutt fine as root, however when I try
to send a message under my user account I get the following error:
Error sending message, child exited 69 (Service unavailable.)
I haven't been able to find any reference to that error message anywhere.

I'm using Mutt-2.1i, precompiled for Slackware. From time to time I
receive email from Quebec with these characters. The internal pager
displays them as "?", the editor, vi, shows them in what I gather is
quoted readable format, e.g. é is shown as =E9. The only way I can
read them in Mutt is by

Hello,
When I set the index_format var in my .muttrc it dosen't work. It shows the
default instead. Has anybody seen this before? If I enter the command in
Mutt, it works. All the other settings in my .muttrc seem to work.
set index_format="%3C %Z %(%b %d %I:%M%p) %-20.20L %s"
