Thaks for Gary Johnson and Dave Pearson,
With their help i was able to use the modified mutt.octet.filter by Dave
Perason and open/read

[mutt-dev removed from the reply line, this has nothing to do with mutt

Hi,
I have added tp /etc/mailcap:
application/octet-stream; /usr/local/bin/mutt.octet.filter -v %s
application /octet-stream; /usr/local/bin/mutt.octet.filter %s;
copiousoutput
When i highlight the .pdf attachment of type application/octet-stream i get:
[-- mutt.octet.filter file type: "file-3.2
[mutt-dev removed from reply list, this isn't a mutt development issue]
